PALM DESERT, CA – (September 30, 2016) –

CODA Gallery has moved two blocks up El Paseo to a new 9,000 square foot space on the corner of El Paseo and Lupine Lane in Palm Desert. An El Paseo landmark that has resonated with contemporary art collectors for almost thirty years, the gallery still mirrors the personality of its original founders Connie and David Katz, avid collectors and philanthropists who opened the gallery in 1987. The new location at 73-400 El Paseo opens Monday, October 3.

With an architecturally stunning interior, the new CODA showcases contemporary paintings, photography, sculpture, glass, and ceramic works by over 100 established, mid-career, and emerging artists. A magnificent corner rotunda and exterior spaces have been designed to feature sculpture as well as other three-dimensional artwork.

“CODA is proud of its long-standing reputation as a warm, friendly gallery that is comfortable for art-lovers and collectors of every level,” said Sam Heaton, Gallery Director. “With our new gallery space and expanding virtual presence, we're very excited to welcome longtime clients and friends to the new space as well as others who have not visited the gallery before.”

Whether looking to add one piece to a room or redesign an entire house, gallery consultants are available to assist with selecting or commissioning artwork for individual requirements. CODA Gallery also works with residents in the Coachella Valley to preview and experience artwork in their own space. For those living outside of the immediate area, a virtual preview be provided.

In addition to work by new gallery artists such as painter Jeff Faust, photographer Jim Riche, and mobile artist Mark Davis, the 2016 - 2017exhibition season fittingly begins with an exhibition by renowned painter David Dornan, who has been represented by CODA since the gallery first opened in Palm Desert.
