CODA Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new paintings by international artist, Nathan Neven. Come meet Nathan at an artist reception on Friday, April 4, 4 - 7 pm, during Art Walk on El Paseo.

Nathan Neven’s Wildlife Invited is a playful yet thought-provoking exhibition that blends classical interiors with the untamed presence of wildlife. Born in 1979, Neven pursued his dream of becoming a full-time artist after a career in graphic design, refining his skills in Paris before settling in Ireland. His artistic journey, shaped by travel and his fascination with architecture, is reflected in his vibrant, expressive paintings.

This series was inspired by the isolation of the pandemic, where Neven reimagined grand, silent interiors as whimsical scenes inhabited by wild animals. His dynamic use of color, light, and texture creates a striking contrast between the elegance of human-made spaces and the unpredictable nature of wildlife. With references to art history and mythology, Neven’s work evokes both humor and curiosity. Wildlife Invited invites viewers to step into a world where imagination reigns, and boundaries between civilization and nature dissolve.
