Artists Info - Cindy Wilson - CODA Gallery

Cindy Wilson is a self-taught Northern California artist whose work drips with sun-soaked nostalgic flair. Growing up in the Central Valley during the ’60s and ’70s, Cindy was surrounded by the bold colors of pop art, which have left an undeniable impression on her work today.

Cindy’s love for poolside living has been a constant source of inspiration. Her brightly colored totems and playful sculptures have been collected and installed in beautiful homes around the world. She also had the esteemed honor of having her work photographed and cataloged in the permanent records of the National Library of Congress.

Cindy Wilson believes art is a universal language, capable of speaking volumes while transcending all language barriers. She has often been heard saying, “If I’ve done my work right, it will nudge a simple memory or a smile from the viewer—and always carry the promise of adding a pop of color to someone’s life.”
